Tenuta San Francesco È ISS 2015. Made with 100% centuries-old pre-phylloxera own-rooted or ungrafted vines called Tintore. The production is only between 3,000 to 4,000 bottles per annum. The fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks then aged in large wooden barrels between 18 to 24 months and a few more months in the bottle before being released. This ruby red wine has a great personality with an intense and complex nose that releases spices, mature dark stone fruits, undergrowth and hints of dried tobacco leaves. It’s elegant and finishes with persistence in the mouth, good acidity and sapidity. Such a pleasure to drink.
