Palazzo Montemartini in Rome, Italy: Dinner With the Chefs of Ragosta Hotels Collection

A particularly special dinner was dedicated to the new 2018 menus of the four Ragosta Hotels Collection last March 2018 at Palazzo Montemartini in Rome, Italy.

Ragosta Hotels Collection is a group of four 5-star hotels in Rome, Amalfi Coast and Taormina. The locations of the four hotels are in some of Italy’s most beautiful corners. Palazzo Montemartini is in the heart of Rome, La Plage Resort is located in front of Isola Bella at Taormina in Sicily while the other two, Hotel Raito and Relais Paradise are located in the ancient Etruscan town of Vietri Sul Mare in the Amalfi Coast.

 


Palazzo Montemartini is an elegant modern hotel in the center of the city (close to Termini station) that is crossed by the ancient 6th-century Servian walls, located next to the Baths of Diocletian and the church of Santa Maria degli Angeli. Between ancient history and modern design, the hotel is characterized with original marbles and stuccos that blend in a refined frame of style.  At Palazzo Montemartini, it is possible to admire the eternal city from above, at the Terrazza Montemartini, which offers a unique panorama of Rome. The Senses Restaurant & Lounge Bar, with one evocative central fountain and an open space, is a conducive place for business lunches, intimate dinners or special events.

 


Palazzo Montemartini Executive Chef Simone Strano created some Sicilian dishes, reminiscent of his origin, combined with Roman cuisine. They were creative yet respectful of the genuineness of flavors and tradition.

La Plage Resort is in the Sicilian town of Taormina complete with the luxury of a private beach. It is an eco-friendly resort that has bungalows surrounded by nature, a beach club equipped with umbrellas and loungers, open kitchen and bar. The Fusion restaurant provides a splendid postcard view with Isola Bella right in front of it.

 

La Plage Resort Executive Chef Cristhian Busca, originally from Piedmont then landed in Sicily proposes a sea of dishes using prime ingredients from the sea and products from the surrounding areas.

Secondi / Second Course: Catalana di astice e frutta, con caviale di limone e riduzione del suo corallo, Triglia farcita al pane nero e agrumi, con spuma di pastinaca e parmigiana croccante
Dolci / Dessert: Cassatina di ricotta fresca, con zucchero fondente e biscotto alle mandorle, Setteveli di cioccolato, con crema gianduia e cereali croccanti, Semifreddo al passito di Pantelleria e uvetta, con piparelli e caramello liquido, Cannolicchi vari

 

Ragosta Hotels Collection has two outstanding hotels along the Amalfi Coast in the town of Vietri Sul Mare. Hotel Raito is positioned on the cliff of the Amalfi Coast, with an unforgettable view of Vietri sul Mare, giving an impression of being suspended between the blue of the sea and the green of the citrus and olive groves. The Vietri ceramics characterize the hotel, with its terraces with swimming pool and bar overlooking the sea in addition to the grill that’s open in the summer.

Hotel Raito Executive Chef Francesco Russo, acclaimed for the realization of special events, realized some of his guests favorite appetizers like the sfogliatella riccia stuffed aubergine parmigiana on Luciana moscardini sauce. His menu evokes a gastronomic ride along the sea of the Amalfi Coast.
