The 2019 edition of the Sofitel Wine Days, an international event that proposes a new journey into wine in the Sofitel World Hotels concluded at Settimo, the Sofitel Roma Villa Borghese’s breathtaking rooftop restaurant on the 13th of November. Launched by Sofitel, the luxury brand ambassador of the French Art de Vivre of the Accor Group, the event, which is now on its eighth, gave a unique opportunity in deepening the wine culture with the guidance of expert sommeliers and wine critics by discovering excellent wines, new aromas and flavors.
An international event that is also observed in other Sofitel Hotels around the globe, the Italian edition celebrated its closing festivity at the newly-renovated Settimo Restaurant of Sofitel Rome Villa Borghese. The elegant restyling which combined the classicism of La Dolce Vita and modernism of Art De Vivre was created by the prominent luxury hotel designer Jean Philippe Nuel.
Organized by Flavour Coach, the special evening was not only earmarked for pure wine as Master Mixologist Massimo D’Addezio, along with Settimo’s barman, combined the art of mixing cocktails with the effervescence of French and Italian sparkling wines. The drinks were accompanied by Settimo Executive Chef Giuseppe D’Alessio’s finger food widely inspired by the Roman poor man cuisine. Supplì all Romana, Tonnarelli Cacio e Pepe, Baccalà Croccante (Crispy Cod), Saltimbocca and Crostata of Ricotta and Sour Cherries found their wine-based cocktail pairings of Hugo, Sapphire Spritz, Americano Mediterraneo, and Violet Bicicletta.
Settimo is open 7 days a week with a traditional Roman menu starting with Appetizers between €6 to €22, Pasta and Risotto between €12 to €27, Fish Main Course at around €27, and Meat Main Course between €23 to €32.
